半岭村地处石牛山西北侧、戴云山东南麓，东边以天平城为界，西边到小溪，南边与南埕村相连，北边与高漈村接壤。[1] 村名取自村民沿尖峰屿山半山腰聚居。[1]

地理环境[edit]

村域土地面积2.28平方千米，海拔550米，四周群峰环绕。全村分为半岭、双交林两个自然村落。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

此地先属永宁乡清泰里，清代划在清泰里的南埕社内，民国时期归水口乡的南埕保。[1]

1950年归第二区西山乡，1951年改属第三区，1956年归水口区南埕乡。1961年设半岭大队，1965年归南埕公社。1984年改设半岭村民委员会，1991年乡改镇。[1]

章氏开基较早。明万历十八年（1590年），始祖腾公（字文旺）从龙岩迁入。村中先人颖公（字茂献）中过进士，任职太原府侍升、御史，最后做到礼部尚书。[1]

文化[edit]

2022年12月，半岭村获评「2022年福建省卫生村」。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

半岭瑞斗堂为清代建筑，列入「第三次全国文物普查不可移动文物名录」，属一般不可移动文物。[3]
