前锋村位于南埕镇西部，东面挨着塔兜村，西面与西山村相连，南面和龙门滩镇的碧坑村为邻，北面则与高漈村交界。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

约1350年，明军来此屯田垦荒，从泉州前枋巷直接迁来开基。1365年，又有军士到寺内屯田，自泉州前枋巷经永春转至寺内角落开基。[2]

土改后划入西山乡，1958年归雷峰公社，1961年转属高漈公社，1965年改归南埕公社。[2]

地理环境[edit]

全村面积9.35平方千米，下分前锋与寺内两个自然村落。村中大烟寨海拔700多米，浐溪两岸有数处天然温泉。[2]

文化[edit]

前锋村于2019年12月入选第二批国家森林乡村。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

前锋院林堂为清代建筑，列入「第三次全国文物普查不可移动文物名录」，属一般不可移动文物。[3]
