格后村在镇政府驻地以东，村域面积8.58平方千米，属全镇重点林区之一。[1][2]

村名取自村旁的一座大山。村中以林姓为主，另有危、罗、陈等姓。[4][2]

历史沿革[edit]

民国时期此地属雷峰保，新中国成立后至1958年属第二区雷峰乡。1961年，因政社分设，村子另立格后大队；1984年改称雷峰乡格后村，1992年5月撤乡建镇后更名为雷峰镇格后村。[3]

地理环境[edit]

四周群山耸立，年平均气温15至19℃，无霜期约300天，年降水量约1700毫米。[2]

村域森林资源较多，林地10393亩，其中果园221亩，森林覆盖率67.1%（年份未注）。[2]

人口民族[edit]

全村201户，人口789人，劳动力345人，设5个村民小组，皆为汉族（年份未注）。[2]

经济[edit]

耕地805亩，大部分为水田，可种两季，以水稻、马铃薯、蔬菜和甘薯为主（年份未注）。近年垦复毛竹林，发展毛竹生产。[2]
