历史沿革[edit]
明朝时，该地属归德乡惠民里；清朝时属在坊里文兴社，民国初年沿清制。1935年编为霞山保，隶属碧霞乡。[1]
1951年成立霞山乡，那一年归第七区；五年后转入雷峰区。1958年间村里建起霞山大队，划归霞碧公社。1984年改设霞山村委会，隶属霞碧乡。[1]
宋末苏十万抗元，曾在村中水府一带立栅。当地后人在水府立庙祀之。[3][4]

2024年10月，霞山村被确定为「泉州市2023年度市级一村一品专业村」，主导产业为蛋鸡。[1]
文化[edit]
福建省人民政府在2016年5月把霞山村认定为「第五批福建省历史文化名镇名村」。[1] 2019年12月，霞山村进入「第一批国家森林乡村」名单。[1]
