磻坑村位于龙门滩镇西北部，北邻雷峰镇，距镇政府约13.2公里。[1] 村名得自境内形态各异的奇石，以及四周地形如坑的样貌。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明代此地为永宁乡嵩平里所辖，清代则归泰里的峰魁社。民国时期立磻坑保，属霞碧乡。[1][2]

1958年建磻坑大队，1984年改名磻坑村。[2]

地理环境[edit]

村域土地面积6.39平方千米。[1]

人口民族[edit]

1999年末全村有176户664人。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

村水尾有一座百年以上的荣关桥，是通往雷峰镇的要道。刘厝的天然飞来石、石狮、石鳖与石棺等奇石，可供游览。[2]
