儒坑村位于福建省泉州市德化县三班镇的西南部，在天马山北麓，与桥内、岭头、龙阙、锦山等村接壤。村名源于明代陈氏先祖所建的儒卿堂，“儒卿”与“儒坑”在闽南话中音近，村民由此聚居成村。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

明洪武年间，江西饶州府按仁县（今余江县）的陈和迁居于此。清乾隆年间，永春县吾峰大垅的叶氏迁入，据传当时还有黄、马、史三姓居住在这里。[1]

清代，村地属在坊里的蔡径社；民国时期属第一区三高乡的蔡径保。1950年属锦桥乡，1961年拆出自建儒坑大队，隶属三班公社；1984年改制为儒坑村委会，1991年随乡改镇。[1][2]

地理环境[edit]

村域面积2.32平方千米，境内有大云溪的支流贯穿。[1][2]

人口民族[edit]

1999年末，全村人口541人。截至2024年，村内常住人口约537人。[1][2]

文物[edit]

  • 儒卿堂为民国时期建筑，列入2012年公布的不可移动文物名录。[3]
