兴南社区即兴南街一带，位于龙浔镇东南部的浔南路中段，东面是浔东街，西面通向南门街，南边靠着丁墘与宝美两村。[1]

兴南街是德化商贸最集中的地段之一，辖区内的塔雁商园以服装鞋帽交易为主，规模在全县居前。[2] 1947年，龙得第一区区址设在兴南街，1949年德化解放后仍设于此。[3]
