德新社区位于龙浔镇东部浔南路东段，即德新街一带，东连浔东街，西连兴南街，南接宝美村。[1]

辖区内设有德化电力公司、农业银行、人民银行等单位，德化实验小学、德化实验幼儿园和育英幼儿园也在区域内，文化教育事业较为发达。社区设有南音协会和老人活动组织。[2]
