浔东社区位于龙浔镇东部，属镇中心区，辖区即浔东街一带。[1] 社区东侧与宝美村接壤，西面挨着兴南街，南面与德新街相邻，北面隔浐溪同浔中镇的富东街遥对。[1]

社区居委会成立于1996年，由德新街析出。辖区属德化东大路开发区的一部分，区内有外贸大厦、陶瓷博物馆和龙门滩引水工程办事处等建筑。[2]
