福溪村在福建省泉州市永春县外山乡的南端，离乡镇区约7公里，南面与南安市向阳乡接壤。[1]

村名最初作东溪：村民住在溪流南北两岸，溪水自东向西流，因而得名。1981年县政府发文改为福溪，取有福之地的意思。[1]

2020年12月，村庄被认定为「2020年泉州市中级版绿盈乡村」。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1961年自邻村划出，设立东溪大队；1981年改称福溪大队；1987年设立福溪村民委员会。[1]
