外山乡是福建省泉州市永春县下辖的乡，在县境东部，与县城相距28公里，行政区域面积35.3平方千米，2019年末户籍人口6986人。[1][2][3]

截至2025年底，全乡辖4个行政村。[5]

乡境东面与仙游县龙华镇相接，南面连着南安市向阳乡，西面与东关镇紧邻，北面和湖洋镇相通。[1][3]

乡名取自「山外有山」之意。[3]

2011年4月，外山乡获环境保护部授予国家级生态乡镇称号；2021年2月，入选「福建省2018-2020年度省级文明村镇社区」名单；2024年1月，被命名为「2023年福建省卫生乡镇」。[3]

历史沿革[edit]

宋至清代，此地属善政乡。民国时期归第六区的云赤乡管辖。新中国成立后，先后隶属第六区、第十区与湖洋区。1958年改隶湖洋公社；1961年由湖洋分出，另立外山公社；1984年改设外山乡。[1][3]

名胜古迹[edit]

乡内的云河谷由外山溪流域的水土保持工程发展而来，成为一处水利风景区；2021年12月，第十九批国家水利风景区名单把它收录在内。园区里有双龙瀑、云河瀑等成组的瀑布，此外保存着一座百年古宅余庆堂，它是中共地下党的交通站遗址，园区另建有抗战文化博物馆。[4]
