上西坑村位于横口乡西部，因地处西坑溪上游而得名。[1][2]

2025年12月，上西坑村与下西坑村合并，设立西坑村。[3]

历史沿革[edit]

1966年时，本地属福中村第七生产队。1976年前后，村址一带归横口公社良种场，坑尾则划给公社的81林场。1988年，两个自然村合成一个村民委员会，即上西坑村。[1]

地理环境[edit]

博雅地名网称，上西坑村下辖上西坑、坑尾两个自然村。[1]

文化[edit]

自然村有麻公尊王庙一座，供奉地方神祇麻公尊王，每年正月十四是祭拜的日子，届时有小型庙会。[2]

2020年12月，上西坑村入选2020年福建省「森林村庄」名单。[1]
