福中村是横口乡境内的一个山区村，村中留有1929年红四军驻扎时的郭氏家庙、红军军部旧址和红军烈士纪念碑。[1][3]

村为革命老区村，曾被列为泉州市的「红色之旅」村。[2][1]

历史沿革[edit]

清代，此地一带统称福鼎乡，民国时称三都。新中国成立后分为福中、福联、环峰三个村，福中居于福联与环峰之间，村名因此而来。[1]

1958年以后设福中大队，1984年改称福中村。[1]

地理环境[edit]

全村面积8.5平方千米，山地多而耕地少，海拔在600米至900米之间。[1]

2021年村简介称，村庄共有7个村民小组。[2]

经济[edit]

2024年11月，福中村被认定为2024年度福建省「一村一品」专业村，产业为芦柑；同年10月，又被确定为泉州市2023年度市级「一村一品」专业村。[1]

文化[edit]

村中有横口中学、横口中心小学和乡中心幼儿园。[1]

2024年6月，福建省第四批高级版「绿盈乡村」名单公布，福中村列入其中；2020年12月，村庄被认定为2020年泉州市中级版「绿盈乡村」。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

郭氏家庙坐西朝东，依山而建，为二进两落两层的四合天井式院落。1929年红四军曾在此召开群众大会，因而又被称为红四军召开群众大会旧址。[3]

据乡政府简介，郭氏家庙与古田会议有关，是古田会议的酝酿地之一。[4]

郭氏家庙1984年4月成为县级文物，此后于2020年定为省级，2021年进入全省首批革命文物名单。[3]

村中另有红军军部旧址、朱德同志旧居，为县级文物保护单位，年代为1929年；永春红军烈士纪念碑位于横口中学后山，立于1992年，纪念在福鼎去世的红四军将士。[3]
