山后村距永春县城16公里，是一个革命老区村，村中山地森林覆盖率达67.5%。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

村名的来历，据博雅地名网：村庄位居西向街的后面，故称山后。[1]

明代此处已称「山后角落」，1961年设山后大队，1984年设山后村委会。[1]

地理环境[edit]

村中山地的森林覆盖率达67.5%；另有耕地330亩与山地3300亩（据2021年村情简介），农家建筑突出闽南风格。[2]

文化[edit]

村中建有漆艺漆画展示馆，传统漆画是村庄的一大特色。[2]

据2021年村情简介，山后村曾获市级传统村落、县级美丽乡村精品村等称号，并被纳入市级乡村振兴示范线。[2]
