美寨村位于仙夹镇区一带，距永春县城16公里，村中的灵镇庙是县级文物保护单位。[3][4]

历史沿革[edit]

村名「美寨」的来历，据博雅地名网：早先兄弟二人分居溪尾与寨后，新中国成立后，村名取祖厝所在「溪美」的「美」与「寨后」的「寨」。[1]

1949年前此地为仙夹乡的美寨保，1958年公社化时称美寨大队，1984年改称美寨村委会。[2]

据2021年村情简介，村域面积4.42平方公里，耕地971亩，另有生态茶果园1176亩。[3]

村民收入以农业种植、茶叶种植与畜牧养殖为主。[3]

人口民族[edit]

据2021年村情简介，村内人口2500多人。百度百科另有记载，村中有653户、常住2449人，海外华侨4000余人，均未注统计年份，与前者数字不同。[3][5]

文化[edit]

灵镇庙位于本村，为明代所建，始建于明初，后经重修。该庙为悬山顶穿斗式砖木结构，庙内悬挂明代状元庄际昌所题的匾额「飞炉古地」。2015年12月，该庙列入第五批县级文物保护单位。[4][6]

博雅地名网所载荣誉：2020年12月，美寨村被认定为2020年泉州市中级版「绿盈乡村」；2021年11月，美寨村由福建省爱卫办授予「2021年福建省卫生村」称号。[1]

据2021年村情简介，村庄还是省「千村整治、百村示范」村与县级美丽乡村示范村。[3]
