地名由来[edit]
村子四周群山环绕，山清水秀，村名由此而来。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
宋元时期，张、陈两姓的先祖迁来此地聚居。民国时期本村划为常安乡的辖地。[1]
1958年起，本村归蓬壶公社的嵩山生产大队管辖；到1961年，改由苏坑公社的嵩山大队管辖。1984年起称苏坑乡嵩山村委会，直至2000年乡改镇后，这一名称依旧沿用。[1]
