桂洋镇在福建省泉州市永春县西北部，地处晋江上游，东南与锦斗镇相接，南与坑仔口镇相邻，西与下洋镇相邻，北面与德化县交界。[1][2]

全镇面积78平方千米，2019年末户籍人口14857人。[1] 镇境多为低山丘陵，西北部是戴云山脉的主体部分。[1] 镇内有宋代的锦水林氏宗祠、崇真宫，以及清代的茂春通京桥，都已列入县级文物名录。[5][6]

历史沿革[edit]

宋至清代，此地隶属宣和乡善化里。百度百科称其间分属三都、四都，博雅地名网则只写四都，两说并存。[1][4]

1942年4月设桂洋乡。1949年至1955年间，境内先后归属第一区、第二区与锦斗区，1958年10月并入锦斗公社。1961年8月，锦斗公社中析出一部分，组建桂洋人民公社。[4]

1984年起称桂洋乡，到2000年7月13日由乡改为镇。[1][3][4]

地名原作龟洋。据说这里群山环抱，形如三只龟出洋，故得此名；其后写作贵阳，又因音近改为今名。[4]

地理环境[edit]

镇境四周环山，以低山丘陵为主，西北部属戴云山脉的主体部分。境内最高峰海拔1366.1米，即大白岩。[1]

桂洋溪属晋江西溪的上游河段。[1]

镇境气候温和湿润，接近亚热带海洋性季风类型，年平均气温20.4℃，年降水量1880毫米。[1]

镇内形成了以生姜、槟榔芋为代表的特色农业。[1]

文化[edit]

2012年12月，桂洋镇被国家有关部门认定为「2010—2011年度国家级生态乡镇」。2021年2月，桂洋镇列入「福建省2018—2020年度省级文明村镇社区」名单。[4]

名胜古迹[edit]

锦水林氏宗祠位于桂洋村，建造于南宋淳熙七年，折算为公历即1180年，屋顶为悬山式的木构架。[5]

崇真宫在壶永村，其营建年代属南宋绍兴十二年，即1142年。殿内设有木刻装饰，大厅墙壁上有壁画。[5]

茂春通京桥在茂春村，是一座单孔石拱廊桥，桥长约50米，建于清光绪三十年，即1904年。过去德化、大田两地的往来多经此桥进入永春、仙游，桥头留有一块碑刻。[6]

大白岩的寺庙据维基百科所载，是永春海拔最高的寺庙。[2]
