溪南村位于东关镇西南部，桃溪穿境而过，村名取其位于桃溪南岸之意。1998年10月划入东关镇。[1][3]

历史沿革[edit]

村名溪南，取其位于晋江上游东溪（即桃溪）南岸之意。[3]

明代属泉州府永春州十五都。民国时到新中国成立前归永春县东碧乡管辖；新中国成立后，这里先是东平公社的一个大队，1984年改称东平乡的溪南村，1998年10月起隶属东关镇。[2]

村子位于东关镇西南部，全村面积约4.23平方千米。[1]

经济[edit]

村中有水田，也有较大面积的茶果园，并建有山围塘和电站。[1]

文化[edit]

2020年12月，村子被认定为2020年泉州市中级版「绿盈乡村」。[1]
