东关村在东关镇的西侧，桃溪（即晋江东溪干流）流经村子。全县海拔最低处（83米）就在本村境内。[1][4]

历史沿革[edit]

村名的来历：据传因地处永春东部的关口而得名，村中一带以「大厝」为地名，是闽地居住区的俗称。[3]

1961年成立东关大队。此前一度归东平镇管辖，1998年村子并入新设立的东关镇。[1][2]

地理环境[edit]

村子位于镇西部，桃溪穿村而过，全县海拔最低的地方在村境之内。[4]

经济[edit]

村民经济以种植和养殖为主。2008年成立冬瓜专业合作社，村里建有冬瓜示范基地。[1]

2024年6月，村子入选第四批福建省高级版绿盈乡村；2024年10月，泉州市认定本村为2024年度市级「一村一品」专业村（冬瓜）；2025年11月，福建省认定本村为2025年度省级「一村一品」专业村（冬瓜）。[1]
