外碧村位于东关镇东南部，原称外八坑，村庄沿碧溪两岸分布，村内保存有明代瓷窑遗址。2023年，村中人口为2344人。[1][5]

历史沿革[edit]

村名原作「外八坑」，因村中有八条水坑而得名，后改称「外碧」，侨乡亲友仍习惯呼作「外八坑」。[1][4]

明代属十六都，后并称十五都；民国时称「外碧保」。新中国成立后先后设农会乡、高级社和公社，1985年改设村委会，仍以「外碧」命名。[3]

地理环境[edit]

村子位于东关镇东南部，沿碧溪两岸分布，分为溪西、溪东、大山三个自然角落。[1][5]

村中现存明代瓷窑遗址，并有汤洋古渡口和加莲埔古渡口。[5]

经济[edit]

村民以种植业为主要收入来源，种有芦柑和酸梅，主导产业为永春白番鸭。[1][2]

文化[edit]

村中由陈氏祖厝福安堂改建的「家风文化馆」，又称永春县乡土记忆馆。[5]

村里获得的荣誉包括：2017年7月被认定为第七批全国一村一品示范村镇（白番鸭）；2020年12月入选2019年度福建省「一村一品」示范村名单；2022年10月，福建省农业农村厅公布本村属第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇之列；2023年2月入选福建省第三批高级版绿盈乡村名单。[1]
