北硿社区位于东关镇境内，坐落在龙门滩水库边，是镇内归侨聚居的社区。社区前身为1954年设立的北硿华侨茶果场北硿管理区，1998年农场改制后设居民委员会，2003年改称北硿社区居民委员会。[1][4]

历史沿革[edit]

1954年，一批马来西亚与印尼归侨迁入此地并获得安置，同年设立北硿管理区，隶属北硿华侨茶果场。[1][2]

地名「北硿」的来历，据传是时任全国人大副委员长何香凝所赠。此地位于泉州以北，当时除石头外几乎一无所有。[3]

1998年10月农场改制，此地成为东关镇的一个居民委员会辖区；2003年11月6日，这里改用社区的建制。[1][2]

民国初年，华兴茶叶公司曾在虎巷（今东关镇北硿）引种鼎仙岩水仙茶，面积为13公顷。[5]

地理环境[edit]

社区位于龙门滩水库一侧，离镇区约12.5公里，境内有芦柑园和茶园。[1]
