历史沿革[edit]
村名的来历：民国31年（1942年）时，此地属锦斗乡，分为锦中保与溪坝保两部分；1945年合乡时，各取一字，得名锦溪。[1]
宋至清代，此地属四都。新中国成立后隶属第二区锦溪乡；1958年公社化时归锦斗公社，称锦溪大队。1984年，大队改为锦溪村民委员会，驻地设在锦中。[1]
地理[edit]
村域地处永春县内半县，海拔568米，位于晋江源头一带。[1]
经济[edit]
村民的收入以汽车运输和土石方挖掘机作业为主，同时兼营茶叶、食用菌等种养，并有劳务输出。[1]
