洋头村是坑仔口镇下辖的行政村，位于镇域西南部，西侧靠近牛姆林自然保护区，村中以种植铁观音茶等作物为主。[1]

地名由来[edit]

早先此地叫“龙头”，原因是天湖山脉延伸到村中，形如一条巨龙，祖厝四周的地貌也像龙头。[1]

地理环境[edit]

村庄在永春县西南部，东面与福地村相接，西邻牛姆林自然保护区，南面与安溪县剑斗镇交界，北面是杏村村。离镇区约15公里。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

民国时期此地归玉坑乡。新中国成立后，先后隶属第一区、第二区、第三区、玉坑区、锦斗区，并隶属锦斗公社的合作社。[1]

1958年归入锦斗区的景洋乡。1961年，坑仔口人民公社设立，本村被编为洋头大队；1984年，大队改称洋头村委会。[1]

经济[edit]

全村分为三个村民小组，主要种植水稻、蔬菜和铁观音茶，茶叶加工厂也为数不少。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2020年12月，洋头村获评泉州市中级版「绿盈乡村」。[1]
