坑仔口镇是福建省泉州市永春县下辖的镇，位于县境西部山区，靠近天湖山麓，距县城约40公里，辖8个行政村，镇政府驻玉西村。[1][5]
镇域多山，森林覆盖率较高，茶叶是主要产业。1992年由坑仔口乡改设为镇。镇境属革命老区，镇内的诗元新田堂和坑仔口革命烈士纪念碑是县级文物保护单位。[5][6][7][8]
地名由来[edit]
相传，镇内的青溪在这里与一条源出诗元村的坑沟相会，早年居民依水边建居，地名由此而来。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
宋代至清代，这一带隶属宣和乡福德里的五都，民国时期归玉坑乡管辖。永春县的人民民主政府于1949年6月组建，此地先属第一区，同年11月改属第二区，1952年9月又改属第三区。[3]
1955年10月设玉斗区，同年12月更名为玉坑区，次年6月归锦斗区管辖；1958年3月重组为玉坑乡，同年10月转入锦斗公社。1961年7月从中析出，另设坑仔口人民公社。1984年6月设坑仔口乡，1992年6月撤乡建镇，定名坑仔口镇。[3][4]
1995年、1996年两次，坑仔口镇入选「一类乡镇农村奔小康示范镇」；2021年2月，镇名列「福建省2018—2020年度省级文明村镇社区」名单。[1]
地理环境[edit]
地势从西北向东南倾斜，四周群山叠嶂，玉溪纵贯镇境。据博雅地名网，这里无霜期约340天，年平均气温22.5摄氏度，年降水量1600至2100毫米，气候温和湿润。[2]
漳泉肖铁路的天湖山支线经过镇境，356国道由此通过，还有三条县道连接外地。[5]
矿产有煤炭、锰铁矿、石墨和高岭土，高岭土主要分布在景山村、诗元村一带；盘龙山矿泉水经国家矿产储量委员会命名为天然矿泉水。据2021年3月发布的镇简介，石灰石储量约5300万吨，森林覆盖率为78.1%。[2][5]
人口民族[edit]
据百度百科，镇内2019年末户籍人口为19123人。[4] 2021年的镇简介则称全镇人口有19600多人。[5]
永春县设有5个少数民族自然角落，其中坑仔口镇福地村的皇古角落属畲族。[9]
经济[edit]
茶叶是全镇的主要产业。镇简介称全镇茶园约1.7万亩，莉芳茶厂是省级龙头企业，以它为核心带动了茶叶加工，注册商标「绿芳」曾获福建省著名商标称号。[5]
此外，镇内还有芦柑、食用菌和毛竹林等产业。[2]
名胜古迹[edit]
诗元村的诗元新田堂建于明代嘉靖年间，前后两进，东西两侧设护厝，占地约588平方米。2020年12月23日，县政府公布其为「第六批县级文物保护单位」。[6][7]
