地名由来[edit]
明洪武年间，有先人来此开垦。这里山高林密，雾多人少，俗称厝墌内；始祖自石城分居至此，便各取石城与厝墌内的首字，称石厝。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
清代，村子属十七都。1949年以前归云赤乡石厝保；新中国成立后，隶属第六区、第十区的白云乡。[1]
1958年起，这里成为湖洋公社白云大队的组成部分。1961年，白云大队中分出石厝大队；1984年以后，名为石厝村民委员会。[1]
