地名由来[edit]
村东有一座高山名玉柱峰，山峰高耸入云，形似玉柱，村名由此而来。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
宋至清代，村子属十八都。1949年以前归湖洋乡玉柱保，新中国成立后隶属第六区、第十区的玉柱乡。[1]
1958年，村子并入湖洋公社玉柱大队；1984年起，这里设玉柱村民委员会。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
庄夏故居俗称庄府，别名少师府，位于蓬莱山南麓。据百度百科，它建于宋代，曾为南宋少师庄夏的府第，明万历年间经吏部尚书庄钦粼等重修，现存建筑为清代形制，为县级文物保护单位。[1][3]
