湖城村是福建省泉州市永春县湖洋镇下辖的行政村，位于镇中心，村内的南门庙东泉祠为县级文物保护单位。[1][2]

地名由来[edit]

明朝时，为居民安全而砌筑城堡，村子因此得名湖城。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

宋至清代，村子属十八都。1949年以前，它分属湖蓬乡与湖洋乡的湖城保；新中国成立后，村子归第六区湖洋乡，又属第十区的湖城镇。[1]

1958年，它成为湖洋公社湖城大队；1984年起改设湖城村民委员会。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

南门庙东泉祠位于村南约100米处，占地约600平方米，为县级文物保护单位。博雅地名网作明、清，百度百科则作明代。[1][2]

文化[edit]

2022年11月，湖城村获评「2022年泉州市中级版绿盈乡村」；2024年10月，它被列入「泉州市2024年度市级一村一品专业村」，主导产业为金桔。[1]
