桃星社区位于石鼓镇东南部，魁星岩在它的后方，与五里街镇相对。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
桃星原为桃园乡的四个行政村之一，叫桃星大队，之后改为桃星村，现为社区。[1]
建国后至1957年称桃场乡，1958年改称桃园乡，1961年更名为桃星大队。1984年设立桃星村民委员会，2005年8月1日起称桃星社区居民委员会。[1]
地理环境[edit]
石鼓大桥与大溪桥是社区与外界相连的主要通道。[2]
文化[edit]
2021年12月，社区被命名为「2021年度福建省森林村庄」。[1]
