历史沿革[edit]
桃场位于桃溪南岸一片开阔的平地上，故名桃场，又称上场城。[1]
明末乡贤颜廷榘组织乡民修筑城堡，名为桃场堡，又叫上场城。[1]
新中国成立后，此处先设桃场乡，再依次成为桃场高级社与桃场大队。1962年，大队分设为桃场、桃星、桃联三个大队。2005年8月1日，桃场改设社区居委会。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
魁星岩摩崖造像刻在社区南侧魁星山的崖壁上。[1]
文化[edit]
2024年11月，桃场社区被认定为2024年度「福建省“一村一品”专业村」，产业为茶叶。[1]
2020年12月，社区被认定为2020年泉州市中级版「绿盈乡村」。[1]
