吾西村是福建省泉州市永春县吾峰镇下辖的行政村，位于镇域中部，与吾中村、梅林村相邻。[1]

村内有多处自然角落。其中横山角落属畲族，是永春县五个少数民族自然角落之一。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

村名原作魁塔，后读作溪碧。新中国成立前改称鳌西，因吾峰一带方言谐音，1961年定为吾西。[1]

宋至清属廿二都；1949年前分属鳌峰乡溪碧保与常安乡鳌西保；新中国成立后曾属第八区与第十一区的鳌西乡。1958年属城关公社吾峰大队，1961年设吾峰公社吾西大队，1984年改为吾西村民委员会。[1]

著名人物[edit]

张大宣（1903—1927），小名端峭，生于鳌峰乡鳌西村，即今吾西村一带，被列为烈士。[1][3]
