达中村位于达埔镇中部，地处镇政府驻地西北约1.8公里，三面环溪，达玉路与306省道贯村而过[1][2]。村名源于地处达埔中心，故名达中[1]。村内的颜子俊故居为县级文物保护单位[3]。

历史沿革[edit]

古时属九十都。1949年前是达西实验乡的达新保与达埔乡的达中保，新中国成立后先后设第七区达中乡、第五区达中镇。公社化后的1958年，此地称达中大队；1984年后设为达中村民委员会[2]。

地理环境[edit]

达中行政村面积约1.6平方千米，下辖后坑、下荇、旧街、田内四个自然村[2]。

名胜古迹[edit]

颜子俊故居于1947年建成，内部正厅采用悬山顶、穿斗式木构架，立面和梁枋饰有木雕、石雕，为县级文物保护单位[3]。

著名人物[edit]

颜子俊（1887年至1959年）早年旅居越南，曾任越南中华总商会主席，后加入同盟会。新中国成立后，他在福建省侨务委员会任副主任，在全国侨联任第一届副主席，此外还担任国家侨委委员和第二届全国政协委员[3]。
