达埔镇位于永春县中南部，东面与石鼓、岵山、仙夹等乡镇相邻，西接玉斗镇，南面与安溪县交界，北边与蓬壶镇相连。全镇辖21个行政村，面积约121平方千米[1][5]。镇境群山环绕，中部是丘陵与山间盆地，延清溪、达理溪等水流汇入桃溪。达埔以制香产业著称，2014年被授予「中国香都」称号[3]。

历史沿革[edit]

达埔的旧名是卓埔。当地早年多是荒埔，卓、柯、罗三姓先后迁来开垦，卓姓居多，故称卓埔，后又称卓埠，再因方言谐音而改为达埔[1]。

宋代至清代，这一带属里仁乡安仁里，分在八、九、十都之间。1935年推行保甲，此后数年又按联保编组，1939年起分设达东、达西实验、达山三乡，1945年8月合为达埔乡。1958年10月组建达埔人民公社，1984年恢复为乡级建制，仍名达埔乡。1991年11月9日撤乡设镇[4][5]。

第二次国内革命战争期间，达埔属安南永游击区，境内设有多处革命基点村。1949年6月，永春县人民民主政府在达埔设立[2]。

侨乡[edit]

达埔是永春的主要侨乡，侨亲多旅居越南、印度尼西亚、缅甸、美国及港澳地区[2]。解放后，尤扬祖、颜子俊、李铁民三位达埔人先后在全国侨联担任副主席之职[2][7]。

制香与特色产业[edit]

制香是达埔的传统支柱产业。永春篾香于2006年取得国家地理标志产品的保护地位，2014年中国轻工业联合会与中国日用杂品工业协会授予达埔「中国香都」称号[3]。维基百科则列出中国四大制香基地，除达埔外另有河北古城、厦门翔安、广东新会三处[6]。

永春佛手茶最早引入栽培的地方是本镇的狮峰村，见狮峰村一条[3]。

2022年10月，达埔镇入选淘宝镇名单；2022年12月被命名为「2022年福建省森林城镇」；2012年，国家环保部门授予达埔镇「2010—2011年度国家级生态乡镇」称号[1]。

名胜古迹[edit]

镇内有数处县级文物保护单位。达中村的颜子俊故居于1947年建成，内部正厅采用悬山顶、穿斗式木构架，立面和梁枋饰有木雕、石雕[7]。

汉口村的李尧南故居「崇节堂」建于20世纪30年代，是两层砖石木结构洋楼，正门匾额为许世英题写[7]。

岩峰村的李南金旧居建于清乾隆十五年（1750年），平面呈「回」字形，为县级文物保护单位[8]。

光烈村的光烈映月堂建于清代，堂内保存有元至正元年（1341年）的莲花状石香炉[8]。

新溪村有新溪革命烈士纪念碑，建于1978年；达理村有达理岩，博雅地名网列其年代为清[9]。
