汤城村是蓬壶镇东北部的行政村，因境内温泉而得名，又称汤头城。村中有清初建成的林兴珠故居虎榜堂，为县级文物保护单位。[1][3]

地名由来[edit]

村子旧名池州城。地下水经溪床涌出为温泉，泉源在村中，村子因此又叫汤头城。[1]

村内温泉资源丰富。据新华网，汤城温泉水温达69℃，富含高氟元素。[2][4]

名胜古迹[edit]

林兴珠故居虎榜堂始建于清初，现为林氏家庙，坐东朝西，占地805平方米，为县级文物保护单位。林兴珠（1628年生）原名进周，清康熙年间因抗击沙俄有功，被授銮仪卫銮仪使，赐封建义侯。[3]

荣誉[edit]

2022年10月，汤城村列入「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」；2024年6月，它入选「福建省第四批高级版绿盈乡村」名单。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明清时期此地属永春（桃源）廿二都。民国初年分为洋中、汤城两保，1940年并为一保，即汤城保。1949年以前归壶东乡，之后改设汤城乡；1958年成为汤城大队，1984年才有村委会的名称。[1]
