壶中村是蓬壶镇中部的行政村，位于镇域的中心地带，镇区的老街与商贸街市多在村中。村内有商周时期的鳌山遗址，为县级文物保护单位。[1][3][5]

地名由来[edit]

村名取自它位于蓬壶中心的位置。[1]

街市[edit]

村内的自然角落有旧街（即董前街）、杰头、三清边、官村、格丘，还有三角街（即新街）、中兴街与东街等商贸街市。泉德公路、永漳公路与泉三高速公路贯穿村境。[1][2]

三角街由蓬苏路、蓬达路、蓬锦路三条街道汇成三岔口，街两侧为统一的三层骑楼式建筑。据泉州市政府网站，它是全省唯一叉型布局的骑楼式建筑群。[4]

名胜古迹[edit]

鳌山遗址年代为商周，1956年被发现，遗址面积约5000平方米，地表可见陶片，并采集到石环、石锛等遗物。它先被列为第一批县级文物保护单位，后又列为泉州市文物保护单位。[3][5]

荣誉[edit]

2006年，壶中村被泉州市委、市政府授予「宽裕型文明村」称号。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

旧时此地一小片归民康乡常安里的二十二都管，其余大部分属宣和乡升平里的第七都。清朝时，它与七都街一带并称汤洋乡。1942年起壶中被归入壶东乡。1961年8月起为大队，1984年6月改称村民委员会。[1]
