军兜村是蓬壶镇北部的行政村，距永春县城约28千米，省道福三线穿越全境。村中种植杜鹃花，境内多山。[1]

地名由来[edit]

村子位于峡谷入口，是闽南通往大田、永安、三明与漳平等内地的要道。历史上此处为兵家必争之地，也是过往官军的兵站与驿站。人们因此称之为军兜，又写作关兜，名称来自它在历史上的作用。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

此地旧称岩口，在宣和乡升平里的第七都境内。新中国成立后曾设军兜乡，隶于蓬壶区；其后并入蓬壶公社，成为军兜大队。“文革”时期这里一度称军委会，1984年起才叫军兜村民委员会。[1]
