西昌村是蓬壶镇西部的行政村，位于镇区西部，东邻美中村，西接美林村。2021年6月入选福建省第四批省级传统村落。[1][2]

地名由来[edit]

村名中的“西”指蓬壶西部，“昌”寄托着人民盼望繁荣兴旺的心愿。[1]

自然环境[edit]

村辖大帮洋、坑仔边、西林、山仔四个自然角落。村民以花卉种植、食用菌栽培与果树种植为主，并饲养牲畜。[2]

人物与纪念[edit]

烈士林多奉与林一心的故里均在西昌村，村内设有林一心纪念馆。[2][1]

历史沿革[edit]

新中国成立前，此处曾设西昌乡，乡民也称它为西昌大厝。1961年蓬壶公社设立后，它成为西昌大队，直到1985年才正式改称西昌村。[1][2]
