壶南村是蓬壶镇东南部的行政村，距镇政府驻地约1千米，为革命老区村。村名取自村位于鳌山之南的方位。[1][2]

地名由来[edit]

村子因位于蓬壶中部鳌山之南，早先称鳌南，又称吾南。后为书写方便，改为壶南。这是由山名与方位演化而来的地名。[1]

经济[edit]

村内有电子、服装、制鞋与汽车修配等个体企业，也有汽车贸易与石灰加工点。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

此地早年叫苏坂，在里仁乡招集里之内，排第八都。民国时又称苏坂乡；解放后一段时间改叫鳌南乡，1958年编为鳌南大队。1961年分出成为一个村，1980年改名壶南大队，1984年成立壶南村委会。[1]
