地名由来与历史沿革[edit]
据传先人定居此地时，盼望后代像溪水一样长久相续，于是取名「长汀」。[1]
1961年以前此地称三都长汀村，隶属云贵乡；1961年后归曲斗人民公社，1983年改称长溪村；1997年析村后又复名长汀村民委员会。[1]
地理环境[edit]
村子四面环山，一条小溪穿村而过。村域面积4平方公里，编为3个村民小组，158户，人口598人，耕地230亩。[2]
天湖山脉西南侧有长汀煤矿区，村里另建有长汀水电站。2021年的村情材料把本村的地质资源称作全省单体最大者。[2]
