新坂村隶属永春县下洋镇，在镇中部偏西，村边有省道三郊线东西向穿过。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

村名「新坂」取自新设之村的村委会所在地北苏坂。[1]

1975年，北苏坂、山当与南湖三处自然角落合并，成立了曲斗公社的一座农场。农场在1978年撤销后，这里成为新坂大队，1980年10月再改为村民委员会。[1]

这个村在2013年列入市里的重点开发扶贫村，两年后又成为县美丽乡村建设的示范点，县级文明村的称号则来自2017至2019年度的评比。2020年底，村子获认定为泉州市中级版「绿盈乡村」；次年年底，它又入选市级「一村一品」专业村，所立足的产业是芦柑。[1][2]

地理环境[edit]

据2021年村情材料，村子共有北苏坂、山当、南湖三个自然村，主村在北苏坂，全村分为4个村民小组。[2]
