上姚村隶属永春县下洋镇，坐落于镇北一带，处在永春、德化、大田三县交界的丘陵之中。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

此地古称「襄阳」，此后又称阳斗，抗战时期曾叫钱窑，因方言中读音相近，最后定名为上姚。[1]

因村中姚姓人家较多，1949年后此地便以上姚相称。在1949年以前，它分属三都下的襄阳乡、阳斗乡和阳崇保。解放后划入一都区的曲斗乡，1958年公社化期间成为上姚大队，1984年才换成村委会的建制。[1]

村中的四层村部大楼建于1996年。2017至2019年度，上姚村获得永春县文明村的称号。[2][3]

地理环境[edit]

村子所在多为丘陵，旧时道路难行。1986年起村民陆续修筑石板路与路基，1999年打通了通往三郊线路口的道路，2002年又铺设了五公里半的水泥路，出行条件由此改观。[1]

按2021年的村情材料，村域面积在2.6平方公里上下，人口则超过两千八百，分布在624户之中，又划为18个村民小组。[2]

经济[edit]

2021年以来，村里尝试在杉木林与竹林的林下套种竹荪，探索林木与菌类并存的生产方式。[4]
