吾东村是五里街镇下辖的行政村，位于镇西北部天马山下，距县城约6公里，以韭菜为主导产业。[1][2]

地名由来[edit]

境内有一座山形如鳌，村民住在山的东侧，谐音取名吾东。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明朝时此地属永春县的二十都。1954年组建吾东乡，1961年4月设吾东大队，1984年改称吾东村并设村委会。[1][2]

产业与荣誉[edit]

村里以韭菜为主导产业。2020年12月入选「2019年度福建省“一村一品”示范村」名单（韭菜），2020年入选省级「农业科技推广示范村」。[1][3]

2006年列为省社会主义新农村试点村，2020年12月被认定为「2020年泉州市中级版绿盈乡村」，2021年12月被确定为「泉州市2019-2021年度市级一村一品专业村（乡镇）」，主导产业为韭菜。[1][2]
