仰贤社区是五里街镇下辖的社区，位于县城西北部，由山美、辜厝两个自然村组成，2003年11月6日成立社区，设立居委会。[1][2]

地名由来[edit]

地名取敬仰先贤之意：早先称仰贤村，形成社区后改称仰贤社区。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

民国初年这里属山美的产贤保，抗日战争时期另组仰贤保。新中国成立后设仰贤乡，1958年改设人民公社，1981年改为仰贤大队。[1]

2003年11月6日设立仰贤社区，并成立社区居委会。[1][3]

名胜古迹[edit]

巽来庄又称山美土楼，位于社区内，由清代的盐官兼营布匹生意的林悠凤于乾隆丁酉年（1777年）建成，占地约3100平方米，内有96间房。外围为二层楼，底层用花岗岩卵石砌筑，二层为黏土夯筑，平面呈回字形，融合了闽中、闽西与闽南的建筑形式。2005年被列入第六批文物保护名录，百度百科称为福建省省级文物保护单位，博雅地名网则称为县级文物保护单位。[4][5]

李俊承故居位于社区内，建于1907年（清光绪三十三年），占地约900平方米，坐北朝南。李俊承是旅居新加坡的华侨，并担任过当地中华总商会的会长。2002年列为永春县第四批县级文物保护单位。[6]
