历史沿革[edit]
清代初年，此地称为二十都（社前）。此地1942年称外坵堡；1958年为外坵大队，后隶属城关公社、城郊公社。[1]
1984年10月，此地改设村委会。[1]
地理环境[edit]
村庄处于高山地带，平均海拔362米，永春城关至介福、湖洋的县道从村南部穿过。[2]
经济[edit]
以农业为主导产业，是永春芦柑的主产地之一。[2]
文化[edit]
2024年10月，外坵村被确定为泉州市2024年度市级「一村一品」专业村（芙蓉李）。[1]
