棠棣村是桃舟乡的行政村，辖三坪、东洋、祖厝洋三个自然村，有耕地1370亩，茶园1000亩。[1]
村名经过数次改动：原称“龟洞地”，清道光年间乡人张际清中了解元，乡人嫌旧名不雅，先改为“高桐地”，后又改称“棠棣”。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
解放前称棠棣乡。1961年设棠棣公社，下设三个大队，即康随、南坑和棠棣；1964年才与感德公社合并。1984年，公社体制改为村制，棠棣成为村；1987年，村划入新设的桃舟乡，设棠棣村委会。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2020年12月，村被认定为2020年泉州市中级版「绿盈乡村」；2022年1月，被认定为「安溪县2020-2021年度文明村镇」。[1]
