郑坑村隶属祥华乡，位于乡政府驻地东南约10公里处，海拔570米。村子原称盛卿，又称盛坑，1965年起改称郑坑。村民主要为苏姓。[1][2]

地名由来[edit]

元延祐二年（1315年）正月，深泉随父从衡阳迁至盛卿，是盛卿开基的第一世祖。其弟东泉于元泰定四年（1327年）十一月迁往华安仙都。盛卿四面环山，后改名郑坑，别名盛卿村。[2]

因山峰环抱，村子原称盛卿，又称盛坑。1965年撤区建社时，大队刻制公章误将「盛卿」写作「郑坑」，此后沿用至今。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明清时属积德乡崇信里；1952年属第十四区双寨乡；1965年随祥华公社从长坑公社划出。1978年分村定名郑坑，1980年设郑坑大队，1984年改为祥华乡郑坑村民委员会。[3]

人口与行政[edit]

村民主要为苏姓，村民委员会辖两个自然村。[1]
