石狮村隶属祥华乡，位于碧岩山麓的山坡地上，在乡政府驻地南偏东约4.8公里处，海拔875米。村委会下辖9个自然村，村中多为詹姓。村名取自附近的岩石。[1]

地名由来[edit]

碧岩山右侧有一群岩石，形如石犀，后谐音为石狮，村以岩名。另一说法称，村中石头众多，形状各异，碧岩山主峰上有一块大石形似雄狮，故名。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

1952年时归第十四区管辖；1958年起为长坑公社的石狮大队；1965年划归祥华公社；1984年，成为祥华乡石狮村民委员会。[1][3]
