地名[edit]
元末，颜氏始祖颜荣从漳州西桥迁到紫泥山前，因怀念原居之地，便把此地叫作紫泥[1]。1961年拆村重组时，村中辖有乌土自然村，于是以它定名[1]。
沿革[edit]
1958年起此地归长坑公社管辖，设乌土大队。其间隶属几经变动，1961年一度归长坑区紫柏公社，1965年复回长坑公社。1981年10月改入蓝田公社；1984年起以村委会形式运作[1]。
传统村落[edit]
2022年10月，本村列入第六批中国传统村落名录[1]。
显赫宫[edit]
显赫宫位于村尾林山美，供奉“三显真仙”。宫始建于宋代，原在牛舌坂的半山腰，明代迁建于现址。2003年，当地颜氏信众与海外宗亲捐资重建，现建筑面积31平方米[2]。
安福堂[edit]
安福堂位于村尾水边，供奉赵、康、温三圣尊王，并祀释迦牟尼、观音菩萨、伽蓝大王等神。庙堂始建于宋代，1987年重修，清代有南洋侨亲在此设分炉[2][3]。堂周古木成林，村民称为“风水林”，其中水尾一株古杉树高约37米[2]。

2022年1月，本村被认定为「安溪县2020-2021年度文明村镇」[1]。
