益溪村位于安溪县蓝田乡东部一带，旧称溪溢，又称溪东。溪中耸立着形如笏板的立端笏石和形如方巾的方巾石，村名由此而来[1]。

据博雅地名网，此地原为邻村的一处角落，1990年1月划出单设，定名益溪村[1]。本村的概况则称，1987年已设立行政府，经上级政府命名为益溪村[2]。两说年份不同，此处并录[1][2]。

蓝田乡探明的高岭土矿，质地洁白、储量较大，主要分布在本村一带[3]。

荣誉[edit]

2022年12月，福建省绿化委员会将本村命名为「2022年福建省森林村庄」[1]。2022年1月，本村被认定为「安溪县2020-2021年度文明村镇」[1]。
