半林村位于龙涓镇驻地南面约9公里处，在金光镭山西北坡，山峰叠峦。村名据说来自早年开发时的情形：村中已有他姓居住，只能开发一半森林，故称半林。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
明崇祯十六年（1643年），黄姓先人从长泰县枋洋赤岭来此定居。此前此地属龙涓里霞洋乡，民国时属龙涓乡美林保。[1]
1952年划入第九区，1958年成为龙涓公社的半林大队，1961年改属龙涓区仙景公社，1965年撤区后隶属龙涓公社，1984年起称龙涓乡半林村。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2022年1月，半林村被认定为「安溪县2020-2021年度文明村镇」。[1]
