芹山村位于龙涓镇东南约9.5公里处，在芹山尖山麓，四周皆山。村名与村中的祖宇有关：萧氏开基祖迁来后在山麓建祖宇，此地因而称芹山。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
萧氏开基祖自芦田镇芹草洋迁来此地。另有一说，先祖以“勤”训诫子孙，勤山谐音为芹山。[1]
解放后，芹山一度隶属另一村，1991年5月析为独立的村委会，村委会设在庵头格丘，辖芹山自然村。[1]
